May 27, 2019 · its not 2 bad get a junior hacksaw cut round half way through the armour about a foot from the end strip the outer skin off bend and snap the wire off. cut the outer insulation back about 20mm slip the shroud over then the outer gland ring . pull the armoured wires out a bit and slip the inner gland on behind the wires and tighten the outer gland ring up . here

I still much prefer brass and found it easier to work with - I seldom made mistakes, whereas bone is much softer. I might go back to brass just for a laugh - but I shall only use professional nut files for the final touches because brass will wear out files.
