Income earned by suburb

In Brisbane, 23 percent of families living in the suburb of Chapel Hill earned $3000 gross or more per week (2006 census) compared against 5 percent in the suburb of Forest Lake. The suburb of Caulfield North in Melbourne had 27 percent of families earning $3000 or more per week. In Perth the highest percentage of families earning $3000 or more per week lived in Sorento (22 percent). And in Sydney, the suburbs of Pymble, Bellevue Hill, Turramurra, Vaucluse, Dover Heights and St Ives all had a concentration of families earning $3000 per week or more above 30 percent.

Note:These numbers are indicative of the relative income earned by residents according to the 2006 census. Income levels would have increased since then but it is expected that the relativity between suburbs would have been maintained.
